I think having to wear a business suit every damn day is bland and boring. It’s also not sexy. So if you’re lucky enough to have a job that isn’t too uptight, you CAN in fact dress appropriately for work, and still look sexy. I have been on a few interviews lately and I have come to find that “Business Casual” is a pretty general office place dress code. Jeans are not business casual. I wouldn’t recommend wearing jeans to work. They are considered casual wear. But thanks to Bebe, Express, Target, and many other stylish and affordable stores, office wear can be stylish and sexy, and still appropriate.
You will instantly feel sexy in a camisole tank. But always always wear something over it when in the work place. The fall/winter months are approaching and this is the perfect time to wear camis covered with a stylish sweater or jacket. For instance:

Here is your sexy black cami. Now here is your stylish and cute cover up for this coming season:

Or if it’s starting to cool down…

You can substitute cover up sweaters for suit jackets and blazers for winter. They are cute, warm, & appropriate for the work place!

Plaid is hot hot hot for Fall! Plaid is also very work appropriate. This jacket is perfect to wear over a cami for the office! You don’t always have to wear BLACK AND WHITE! So boring! Color is okay for the workplace, just don’t make it too loud and overpowering. It’s easier to have fun with prints and colors in fashion-related workplaces. But in a business casual setting, one piece such as a jacket like this, is okay to have a print or some color. Keep everything else simple, as well as accessories. Earrings or a bracelet or both are fine.
Skirts should ALWAYS be longer rather than shorter. I would say knee length. Whether it’s a tad longer the knee length or shorter, it’s fine. Just make sure it’s to the knee and you are wearing nude or black pantyhose, especially for the coming season! PENCIL SKIRTS are always sexy AND work appropriate so go buy one! Or two! Examples:

Very sexy skirt, perfectly work appropriate with black stockings!

Tulip skirt by Target. It looks shorter, but I tried it on at Target recently and I believe it was right above my knee. It’s very cute and stylish, and colorful! Wear with a neutral top and pumps!

This top is sexy, and stylish and perfect with a pencil skirt like this model is wearing, or editor pants by Express.

You don’t have to wear plain black business pants all the time. A slate grey is a great alternative to add some flair to your usual business casual attire.
Have fun shopping! Remember, when choosing prints, ONE piece is enough, the rest should be simple. Don’t go overboard on accessories but big bangles are fun to add to a business outfit as well as dangling earrings. Especially if you’re job is really uptight with the dress code. Accessories will help you stand out and show you still have style. Pumps are your best bet, although some of these models in these photos are wearing open toe, and they look good to me! Find out if that’s allowed at your work place. Also, if you’re feet are tired of pumps, go for stylish flats that are a black or neutral color for comfort. No crazy cleavage and no short short skirts! Now get to work!
P.S. Hair can be sexy with loose waves, or up in fun twists and buns. You can find alot of stylish and work appropriate hairstyles on sites like cosmopolitan.com and glamour.com but don’t try anything too runwayish like big, teased hair!
