Doesn’t she look fabulous? I think she looks amazing. I love how this ensemble starts with a black, silk blouse and then turns into a fitted, tube dress. Very unique and sexy!

The Bandage Dress

October 22, 2008 · 2 Comments

Kim Kardashian is a big fan of the bandage dress as are many other hot celebs rockin’ them on the red carpet. These dresses are ultra sexy! They are form fitting and stretchy, and they look like bandages that wrap around your body. Bebe has a lot of sexy ones in many colors.

The Styles of Lipstick Jungle

October 8, 2008 · 3 Comments

One thing I love about all these new shows, is the clothes! They wear the hottest clothes, shoes, accessories, and hairstyles! As for Lipstick Jungle, they’re all middle-aged women and they look just as hot as the younger girls on Gossip Girl. Check out these screen shots of the show.

Both of them look amazing. I think that’s a skirt with a white tank tucked in but it could be a dress! Hot! Love the vibrant purple sweater thrown over it. That blue dress is a great shade too.

Look at her hair (Victory Ford on the show) from behind.

Anyone ever see this hairstyle before? Such a unique twist on a braid/ponytail!

Brooke Sheilds looks stunning with long waves of hair and a skyblue top with blue pearls to match! Try an accessory that matches your clothing exactly like this, it looks like it’s part of the shirt.

Niko (her character in the show) looks EXACTLY like my mom if you cared to know. Lol I can’t get over it. But middle-aged women if you want to look sexy, trendy, and young but still age appropriate, try this hairstyle. Not many middle-aged women have long hair so try this shoulder length blunt cut. Very stylish and still sexy. Run a curling iron through it for this look. And wear vibrant colors! Forget black! Sure it’s slimming but try black pants with a hot pink top or deep violet or blue. You can pull it off!

Check out the hot pencil skirt in a red shade! Looks great along with the lighter red, almost peach band of color that goes around the waist.

Go buy yourself a coat in a shade like this that stands out! Pea coats and trench coats come in so many hot colors and it’s  a coat, you can wear it with anything. It’ll add spice to your outfit. Look at Victory Ford with those blue gloves! You can mix and match hot colors as long as they are of the same hue. Meaning, pastels with pastels and neons with neons. A bright pink like this goes with a bright blue of the same intensity.

Just wanted to throw him in for some eye candy! This is Robert Buckley, Kirby on the show. I’m in love.

Style at The 2008 Emmy Awards

September 23, 2008 · 1 Comment

Christina Applegate looks lovely. I like the dress, it’s very different, I’m just not a fan of the overflowing fabric that is attached to the back/side of the dress. No use for it.

Lauren Conrad always looks simple but sometimes just a bit drab. I like the loose waves of hair with the rest pulled back, the dress is nice but for someone older I would think. She’s a hot, young thing, she should be showing off those legs!

Marcia Cross looks nice with very neutral, simple makeup to match her neutral colored dress. I like the detail of the dress. This looks like a ballerina dress for the mature woman. I like it.

Eva Longoria. Sexy little flapper! I love her slicked down bob and the short dress paired with silver pumps. Her darkly lined eyes look amazing too.

America Ferrara. Very glam vampy. Beautiful necklace and I love the shoes. The dress drapes every which way and ends in a bubble, a bit above the ankle. Very different look seen on America but I like it.

Tina Fey. Simple makeup. Simple hair. Simple dress. Boring! I do like the dress but maybe in a burgandy or deep red shade to amp it up! It would be sexier!

Heidi Klum in a metallic silver sequined dress. Not liking the cape thing that drapes over one shoulder. Maybe I’d like this look more without that but it’s just too much sparkle!

Evangeline Lilly. Such a pretty name and girl. I like how all these celebs wear their hair parted and in loose waves, slightly loose in the front and then pulled back. Very elegant and classic. Her dress, I do like. I like the fun detail in a neutral shade.

Debra Messing. Ehh I’m not sure! I like the top of the dress and then the detail is very cool but I don’t like how it’s asymmetrical, that first layer. It throws it off. I think it would be more glamourous if it were symmetrical and less gothic!

Sandra Oh. Too much detail throughout this dress! The bow basically separates two different patterns. I think if the top part were strapless or plain black without detail, then I’d like it because I do like the bottom pattern. It’s edgy!

Vanessa Williams in a very artsy dress! Loving the black and white floral pattern with some baby pink thrown in there at the bottom of the dress. However, the thin, sequined strap over the shoulder that goes into the dress reminds me of a tacky prom dress.

Fashion Week: Day 2- Lots of Brights & Skin

September 19, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Alexander Wang, Fashion Week Day 2

They’re all wearing the same shoe! lol I guess they go with everything then. I’m loving all these bright juicy hues mixed together! The pink and peach go together because they are of the same brightness. That’s how it works when mixing colors. You can’t mix a pastel and a neon, got it? Good!

The sexy sequined tops for Spring are hot too. I love how they mixed them with sweats and more casual clothing, it really spices up the look and adds a sexy, fierceness.

The color block dress with the colors in angles is really fun too. Switches it up a bit instead of the basic horizontal color block dress of yesterday.

Notice the slicked back half up and half down look with the bottom half filled with loose, natural waves. This look will look great with a bandana tied back or a hat like the first model.

designer Laura Poretzky

More slicked hair and bright colors! Stockings in bright shades are hot for Spring 09, especially when it’s the beginning of the season and it’s still a bit chilly out, but you just can’t wait to whip out your spring clothes! The cut out, almost to the ankle shoes are still in but in springy, easter egg shades!

More color block dresses and looks but in springy hues. Fun bow ties and these shades make for a sportier look.

A easter egg yellow is in, notice, not neon!! This is almost like a pastel yellow, not too bright but it still screams “Spring is here!” Love it.

Fashion Week: Nicole Miller

September 18, 2008 · 2 Comments

I absolutely adore this dress by Nicole Miller which was shown at Fashion Week, day 1. We got to fast forward to Spring 2009 and there’s just so much to cover I decided to only show my faves and this is one of them. This beaded, colorfully patterned dress is fun and flirty. I’d wear it in a second! It’s so cute, and sexy at the same time. It’s really unique, the pattern, and almost has a kid-like appeal to it with the sky blue and pinks and floral like patterns. I really love the Mosaic-tile feel of the dress in pretty, girly colors. The dresses behind it all look so colorful and fun with bright patterns. I want one of these short, flirty dresses for next Spring! I see the deep side part with some height on top of the head is a classic hairstyle to wear with these looks.

Spotted at Fashion Week: The Simmons Sisters

September 16, 2008 · 2 Comments

God, they just keep getting prettier! Here’s Angela and Vanessa Simmons attending Betsey Johnson at Fashion Week on September 9.

So mature looking! I love both of their dresses. Angela’s shoes are hot and a big trend this season. Her dress has that small V cut-out on each side of the dress, a big trend I’ve seen on celebrity dresses lately. It’s a classy but sexy showoff of skin. Vanessa’s hair looks gorgeous in long, luscious waves! Her dress is beautiful, very business sexy; the top looks as though it is a blouse tucked in to a high waisted skirt, with a rockstar belt! Very fun and unique edge to the dress.

Fashion Queens at Fashion Week

Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl

She’s so cute! Which look is your favorite? She looks great in all, I especially think the middle look is sexy conservative, and the last is so feminine! The first is a bit matronly, I see she likes ankle strapped shoes though, which I am a fan of. They are hard to pull off though if you have short legs so beware.

Zoe Saldana

Then we have the adorable Zoe. She’s so small! I love her looks as well. I love the blue dress with her hair pulled back, such a great color on her! I love the flower-like neckline of the dress too. She looks young and trendy in the second photo, I love that dress too. It’s a cool texture of layers, smaller layers, almost like a cake-like detail. I love the orange bands around it too. The third look is a great example of a feminine twist on menswear! Her flirty waves of hair around the vest and long shorts totally create a sexy appeal to this look.

Who’s three looks do you like better? I can’t choose!

Not sure about this look. Her looks fantastic but the dress has a summery feel with a geometric pattern; and I feel like that isn’t the right pattern for a flowy dress like that. I can see floral print on this dress but a geometric pattern belongs on a fitted dress that goes just above the knee, at least that’s how I envision it. I think she’s so pretty but this pose is a bit awkward and causes her to look a little heavy! Her chest looks big too, I wonder if that’s the dress and pattern combined. And what’s that stripe of yellow down the middle?! lol

Spotted at Fashion Week: Eva Longoria

I love her stylish bob. It’s so cute on her. This dress has a unique, fun print to it, and a great detail of frills that layer down the entire dress. I like the print, it’s artsy. I’m not sure about the entire dress made of frilly layers but you can find a similar look at Express. She kind of looks like a kid with her short dress and ankle strapped shoes, but it’s cute. What do you think?
