The 4 Classic Looks of Kate Middleton

The elegant Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William, is one classy lady. Well, being the Princess of the Royal Family, you do have an image to uphold; and she holds it well while still appearing fresh, young and stylish. After researching several images of Kate Middleton in various styles of clothing, I’ve noticed her looks remain consistent, and so I’ve compiled them into 4 major categories:

Eveningwear, Leisurewear, Businesswear and Partywear

When it comes to eveningwear, Miss Middleton can be spotted in brightly- colored solid floor-length gowns. They may be simple, but they are anything but boring with their elegant flowing material and pop of color. Middleton has also been spotted in bright pink and red/orange.

With leisure or casual attire, Middleton remains put-together by opting for blazers, preppy sweaters, simple denim or knee length skirts with stockings paired with loafers or more often seen, knee-high riding boots. Kate loves her brown riding boots and often is seen dressing them up or down with jeans or skirts.

Kate looks just the Princess part for upscale events and activities in knee-length, printed coat dresses paired with simple pumps with a gorgeous hat pinned on the side of her head. Kate is often seen sporting pretty hats reminiscent of the late Princess Diana. She wears minimal jewelry, leaving the attention to her accessories: her matching hat and clutch.

Middleton knows how to glitz it up for a night out on the town showing a little more leg with an above the knee glittery black dress topped with a long, chunky necklace but she still sports knee high boots in an effort to not go too skin-bearing.

Have you noticed her hair is almost always in loose, shoulder-length waves? I’ve also seen it in pretty curls. She reminds me of Jennifer Aniston in that she has a signature hairstyle or look that remains consistent throughout and is timeless.

What do you think of Kate Middleton’s style? Love it, hate it? Leave some comments and tips below!

Lady Gaga is Not a Piece of Meat

As if Lady Gaga doesn’t get enough attention from her outrageous “make a statement” get-ups, she sported a bikini made of meat on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan. One meaty outfit didn’t seem to do the trick so she wore a dress also made of meat to this year’s 2010 MTV VMA’s, (one of the many outfits she wore for the night.) She wore this on stage as she accepted one of eight awards for the night. You go girl.

Gaga appeared on the season opener of Ellen DeGeneres, (who happens to be vegan) and asked her what statement she was trying to make by wearing the meat dress and bikini. “Well, it is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian. As you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth,” said Gaga. “However, it has many interpretations but for me this evening. If we don’t stand up for what we believe in and if we don’t fight for our rights pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And, I am not a piece of meat.” The very humorous Ellen then presented her with a veggie bikini and told her to try that next time she wants to make a statement.

Gaga accepting her award for Video of the Year for “Bad Romance” wearing a raw meat dress topped off with a slab of meat for a hat, and meat booties.

Drake pretends to take a bite out of Gaga’s edible, beefy clutch. Yuck.

New Trend…No Pants?

Leave it to Gaga to start a new trend..it seems pantless bodysuits are the new thing in Hollywood. Celebs like Fergie to Christina Aguilera have been spotted in this getup, mostly in their music videos, but Gaga ain’t afraid to rock it on the red carpet…or anywhere for that matter. This trend is huge on the runways as well.

I mean, it’s basically like wearing a one piece bathing suit. I don’t think I’d actually sport this trend though, unless maybe I was on a tropical vacation, complete with an oversized hat and black sunglasses, eating brunch overlooking the beach at a posh resort. I think it would fit in that scenario.

Tell me, what do you think of going pantless?

Um, is that all she wears? She does have the legs for it though…

So, if you were to wear a bodysuit, what exactly would it be appropriate for? Leave your comments below!

Celebs Travel in Style

Normally when a person travels, they throw on some sweats, maybe a hat, and a hoodie so they can be comfortable; plus all the good stuff is packed away. But celebs know they will be snapped left and right by paparazzi, so yes, they even rock stilettos while strutting through LAX and JFK. Check out these A-listers, who know how to stay stylish in casual wear.

It’s all about layering. Sweaters over tees, a leather jacket over the sweater, a big, chunky scarf over the jacket. Shades over the eyes. A hat over the hair. I guess you could call it “disguising oneself” but why bother, we know who you are! Layering is a great way to be stay trendy.

Cropped leather jackets are a big trend with traveling celebs. So are chunky scarves, big, black sunglasses, hats, and ripped jeans.

Beyonce rocks leather from head to toe while Jay-Z keeps it to a minimum, pairing a leather jacket with a hoodie, checkered scarf, and sweats. I like the dressed up look (leather jacket) paired with casual (hoodie). Try it out!

Dakota sticks to the airport trend of cropped leather jacket, baggy white tee, scarf, and jeans tucked into untied boots.

David Beckham sports a light green hooded leather jacket that combines the hoodie/jacket look in just one layer over a crisp white tee.

Kanye always stylin in a red hoodie, shades, black jacket jeans n hot studded kicks.

Justin Beiber follows in the footsteps of airport trendy celebs with some pops of color and prints, in a striped hoodie, black leather jacket, hat, baggy black jeans and how yellow kicks.

Kim Kardash favors the cropped leather jacket/chunky scarf look as well but throws on sexy, thigh high boots over distressed denim.

Thanks Fergie for switching it up with a cool fedora, beautiful long coat, big purse, and some white denim and stilettos.

Victoria dressed down? Never. She’s seen here in big black shades, a beautiful trench coat, baring her legs with ankle boots.

Rihanna wears a really chunky scarf that looks so cozy, with a baggy sweater, black pea coat, denim and laced up combat boots following in Dakota Fanning’s footsteps.

Going somewhere for spring break? Don’t forget your leather jackets, big scarves, and shades! Oh, and a hoodie for layering.

Noteworthy Looks at the 2010 SAG Awards

Fashion Feen’s best dressed at the 2010 SAG Awards Red Carpet goes to:

Diane Kruger.

She looks stunning. I think this is the only time I’ve seen a mustard shade of yellow work and look elegant as ever. I love the one shoulder..it’s sexy yet super classy. I love the texture of the dress around the waist area. It’s so flattering and stream-lined on her, not to mention her pose is just perfect. Swept back hair and red lips…Beautiful!

Runner Ups:

Christina Applegate. Great deep V-neck, silvery, powder blue like the color of the clouds..she just sparkles in this dress. Beautiful texture and wrap from the neckline to the waist. The frilly cut at the bottom of the dress adds a nice girly touch.

Jennifer Carpenter. Super foxy volume of hair adds an edge to this short, crisp white, sleeved dress. Long sleeved dresses are hot, and create the perfect balance and permission to show off her mile long legs. Pointed shoulders create a high fashion look- I can so see Rihanna in this dress.

Meryll Streep. I love this dress! I love how she’s sporting a long sleeved floor-length dress with an exotic print, and it’s not overboard at all! The subtle shades of green and blue paired with the bright green balance it out as well as the deep V which shows a slither of skin. Cinched at the waist with a wide, black cut-out belt pulls this look together!

And the best dressed for the male category goes to:

Justin Timberlake. My fave male celeb of all time hands down. He has become so stylish as he matured. I love how he threw a blue shirt with some texture, (I won’t call them ruffles in case he gets offended lol), underneath this sexy black suit to make his eyes REALLY pop. It’s the perfect shade of blue too, not too bright. Bringin’ bow-ties back as well. Strikingly handsome overall! =)

Runner up:

Adam Lambert. This suit is so gorgeous, he really looks like a million bucks in it. His hair is wild but hey, that’s Adam and it’s his way of showing off his personal style while still looking pulled together and classy, well done. And you know what? He looks really sexy with the guy liner. Better than Pete Wentz. Sorry Pete.

And the Award for the Best Dressed at the Grammys…

The beautiful Carrie Underwood:

Carrie Underwood

I mean, she is just stunning. Such a gorgeous, golden dress with vertical lines that flatter and elongate her frame. Just enough sparkle..but not too much! Her golden hair is swept back and matches the dress..she just glows from head to toe. Bravo Carrie!

And the runner ups:

Singer Katy Perry arrives to the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards at th

Katy Perry. I’m so glad she decided to wear a gown instead of those little body suit outfits she always wears on stage. This is much more appropriate and the baby pink color is beautiful against her skin. The fanned fabric on the waistline of the dress is beautiful and not over the top like some dresses with detail can be. Beautiful!

Black gowns were a hit as well:

kate

Kate Beckinsale

black-dresses

Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift

Finally long black gowns that don’t look gothic. They are elegant! I LOVE Miley’s dress..she looks beautiful and grown up.
