The “Boys in Skinny Jeans” post is so popular, I thought I’d do another similiar post on how the manly skinny jeans trend has ventured its way into the urban world.
The New Boyz, who sing that catchy song, “You’re a Jerk,” love their skinny jeans. Their style is a mix of urban and punky. I think it’s pretty hot because I love that urban look with the fitteds and the funky sneakers, but I don’t like when it gets too baggy or “thuggish” if you will. The New Boyz balance out that urban style with the 80′s punky look of skinny jeans, motorcycle jackets, fun colors, and chains.
Now here, they may have gone a tad bit overboard on the 80′s punk side. The zebra pants have got to go. The shirt is hot though. What do you think about the bright green skinny pants? Too much?
So, should the skinny jean trend stay within the realm of punk rock or is it alright to mix into the hip hop style scene? What do you guys think?
I really like skinny jeans in the hip-hop scene. Not a fan of the bright colored pants though. It’s a little too much for my tastes.
