Red Hot on the Red Carpet at the BET Awards 09

I barely watch tv anymore because I’m so glued to my little black laptop here, but I was just itching to see what they came up with for the BET Awards, as a tribute to Michael Jackson. I think it turned out pretty well overall but would have liked to see some one such as Chris Brown do an MJ song, complete with his stellar dance moves. Oh well. On to the fashion:

Beyonce is one of my all-time fave artists. She’s just so multi-talented and she has not stopped since she started. Hit after hit after hit, and the same goes for her fashion sense.

I would love to rock this 3/4 sleeved, floral multi-colored print dress. She looks so vibrant and young here. The purple shoes and big green earrings are a nice touch. Very pretty and fun!

This dynamic duo of model Amber Rose and rapper Kanye West look so fresh and so clean in their crisp, classy ensemble. Ye’s neutral sweater displays the gentleman in him and the timbs show off his G side, nice combo. Amber’s white, long-sleeved dress is classy but still sexy and the hot pink shoes and clutch are a very trendy addition. By the way, I must say she’s the only chick I know that can pull off a shaved head. She is GORGEOUS.

Amerie reminds me so much of Aaliyah here, don’t you think? That long, flowy dark hair, thin figure, and stylish yet edgy look..not to mention her beautiful face. I love how she made this dress edgy with those hot ankle boots and accessories. Wait…..do her and Amber have the same dress on?!? That’s what it looks like! Oh well, they both made different looks out of it. So, whose do you like better?

Alicia Keys has always been another favorite of mine. Her hair looks fabulous and sexy! Her dress is very unique; love the sheer puffy sleeves and beaded/sequined pattern. Her shoes are very egyptian and barely there, a neutral shade, so not as to steal the attention of her dress.

It looks like long sleeved, super short dresses were the hit at the awards this year! To pull off the same look, get a mini dress with sleeves, short or long, and rock it with some hot heels. Very classy/sexy! You always want to look sexy but keep it classy like these ladies did!
