They’re more dressy wear has a very old romantic feel to it with lots of pleats, stockings, and silk in pretty lilacs and pinks. Fun, printed shoes are being carried into the fall.

Another big trend seen in VS is the laid-back, neutral, country look.

Lots and lots of boots! This is the hottest fall trend. Boots in all lengths and styles. (See recent entry: Booties are Back).

New Trend: Baggy Jeans?

Several A-list celebs have been spotted rockin’ baggy jeans, mens’ jeans to be exact. Actually these three celebs here are all mommys! So maybe it’s a celeb mama trend? A stab at being comfortable parading around town but still stylish? I don’t know. Check ‘em out.

Katie Holmes seems to be sporting the baggy jeans the most, as there are several shots of her in different pairs. Are they stealing their men’s pants and cuffing them? That’s what it looks like. I’m not really a fan, but at least they pair them with girly, fitted tops to balance it out.

Heidi Klum finished off her baggy jean look with some Converse. Kinda cute.

Who woulda thought Victoria Beckham would be caught dead in baggy jeans and flip flops? Well, here she is!

What do you think about the men’s jeans phenom? Would you try to pull it off?

Style at the Olympics

Yes people can be stylish in athletic wear! Here’s a few photos of some stylish athletes that I’ve seen so far over the past week.

Congrats to Nastia Liukin for winning Best All Around for Gymnastics! Gold! I loved her bubblegum pink leotard by Adidas though. She definitely looked cute and she stood out with that shade of pink! Looks like a winner to me!

Her shiny red leotard with cool white fire lookin designs lined with rhinestones is hot, but she’s quite a cutie her self! Love her.

These ladies are from Brasil but all of the beach volleyball ladies looked hot in their swimsuits! Most look like sports bra/tank top inspired tops with bikini bottoms. Tasteful but still sexy!

No more speedos! Thank God! Lol..I’m liking the leotard lookin’ swimgear. It apparently is designed to help them swim better as well. Nice work. Check it out from the front on Michael Phelps.

Track and field are on tv now as well as other sports so stay tuned for more Olympic style! Go USA!!!

Spice Up That School Uniform!

This is for the teenagers that may read this blog! Some schools have boring school uniforms. How are you supposed to show off your personality and fashion sense when you look like everybody else? Well, you can just by accessorizing!

Hair:

Try a new do. Wear your hair down in flirty loose waves. Use a curling iron but don’t hold the curl for too long, to create looser waves.

Add a fun, colorful headband to your hair! Or make one with your own hair by braiding your hair from one side of your head to the other and wrapping it over to the other side, securing underneath.

Nails:

Wear a brightly colored hue on your nails to really make you stand out! Neon nails are hot right now. Any color goes! So have fun with it.

Have fun with your nails, add gemstones and fun designs. French manicures using different colors such as black and white, or hot pink and baby pink, are a fun twist to the classic beige and white french manicure.

Accessories:

Celebs have been rockin’ “summer scarves” all season but they are a perfect accessory to your boring school uniform for Fall. You will look instantly stylish!

Knee socks in fun colors are what a lot of teens wear to make their personalities & fashion sense shine when it comes to their school uniforms. Buy a fun striped or plaid pair!

Costume jewelry is a great accessory to spruce up your uniform. From dangling earrings, to long, layered necklaces, and big bangled bracelets…

Shoes:

Try some funky converse sneaks or other printed and brightly colored kicks. Or cute flats!

Who Says You Can’t Look Sexy at Work?

I think having to wear a business suit every damn day is bland and boring. It’s also not sexy. So if you’re lucky enough to have a job that isn’t too uptight, you CAN in fact dress appropriately for work, and still look sexy. I have been on a few interviews lately and I have come to find that “Business Casual” is a pretty general office place dress code. Jeans are not business casual. I wouldn’t recommend wearing jeans to work. They are considered casual wear. But thanks to Bebe, Express, Target, and many other stylish and affordable stores, office wear can be stylish and sexy, and still appropriate.

You will instantly feel sexy in a camisole tank. But always always wear something over it when in the work place. The fall/winter months are approaching and this is the perfect time to wear camis covered with a stylish sweater or jacket. For instance:

Here is your sexy black cami. Now here is your stylish and cute cover up for this coming season:

Or if it’s starting to cool down…

You can substitute cover up sweaters for suit jackets and blazers for winter. They are cute, warm, & appropriate for the work place!

Plaid is hot hot hot for Fall! Plaid is also very work appropriate. This jacket is perfect to wear over a cami for the office! You don’t always have to wear BLACK AND WHITE! So boring! Color is okay for the workplace, just don’t make it too loud and overpowering. It’s easier to have fun with prints and colors in fashion-related workplaces. But in a business casual setting, one piece such as a jacket like this, is okay to have a print or some color. Keep everything else simple, as well as accessories. Earrings or a bracelet or both are fine.

Skirts should ALWAYS be longer rather than shorter. I would say knee length. Whether it’s a tad longer the knee length or shorter, it’s fine. Just make sure it’s to the knee and you are wearing nude or black pantyhose, especially for the coming season! PENCIL SKIRTS are always sexy AND work appropriate so go buy one! Or two! Examples:

Very sexy skirt, perfectly work appropriate with black stockings!

Tulip skirt by Target. It looks shorter, but I tried it on at Target recently and I believe it was right above my knee. It’s very cute and stylish, and colorful! Wear with a neutral top and pumps!

This top is sexy, and stylish and perfect with a pencil skirt like this model is wearing, or editor pants by Express.

You don’t have to wear plain black business pants all the time. A slate grey is a great alternative to add some flair to your usual business casual attire.

Have fun shopping! Remember, when choosing prints, ONE piece is enough, the rest should be simple. Don’t go overboard on accessories but big bangles are fun to add to a business outfit as well as dangling earrings. Especially if you’re job is really uptight with the dress code. Accessories will help you stand out and show you still have style. Pumps are your best bet, although some of these models in these photos are wearing open toe, and they look good to me! Find out if that’s allowed at your work place. Also, if you’re feet are tired of pumps, go for stylish flats that are a black or neutral color for comfort. No crazy cleavage and no short short skirts! Now get to work!

P.S. Hair can be sexy with loose waves, or up in fun twists and buns. You can find alot of stylish and work appropriate hairstyles on sites like cosmopolitan.com and glamour.com but don’t try anything too runwayish like big, teased hair!

Store Your Earrings in Style

I saw this creative little project on Msn.com yesterday and decided to try it since I was bored. I tend to get creative when I’m bored. I have so many earrings, and all they do is lay around my dusty dresser and lose the backs that go with them. So I tried this fun project.

All you need is a picture frame, any color, any style you want; you can always spray paint it as well. Take out the glass and cardboard inside the frame. Then buy some wired material that you can put inside the frame. For extra creativity, I tore out a pretty model from Cosmopolitan Magazine and pasted it to the cardboard inside the frame to act as a back behind the wire. Makes it extra stylish! Make sure it’s thin behind the wire though so that your earrings can hang through the wire comfortably. Hang your finished wire frame earring holder from your wall or place on your dresser.
