Vampy Nails for Fall/Winter

Think dark, sexy, but not gothic. When the winter months come, it’s an excuse to rock some dark shades on your fingers and toes, and get away with it. I’m still a sucker for black, but there are some alternatives if you don’t want to go that dark. Dark shades of blue, purple, brown, or green are all in this season and go with any outfit.

Also, short nails are in. A short, rounded or squared nail is simple, classic, and requires less upkeep! You won’t have to worry about your nails constantly breaking and being different lengths, if you keep them just above the tip of your finger. They look nicer than super long claws! PLUS, they offset the bold nail shades!

I’m sorry but I absolutely hate her hair. She can’t pull off the dark, Rihanna short cut look. It does nothing for her. She looked great as a long-haired brunette.

I know they say you can mix prints when they are of the same shades, but eek! I don’t think this works. I can’t even tell what kind of prints those are. The yellow bleeding into the stripes doesn’t tickle my fancy. It’s right under the armpit area too. Why? The skirt is weird, just plain weird!

Let’s start with my personal favorite, Sean John cologne. “Unforgivable.” One of my exes wore this and I find it to be so sexy. I even got the women’s one, “Unforgivable Woman.”

I ALWAYS get complimented on how I smell when I wear this one.

Fashionista Fox for Nylon

Megan Fox graces the cover of Nylon Magazine for the October issue, piercing us with her beautiful blue eyes and luscious dark waves of hair. This time, she’s covered up in Fall fashions, looking like a commercial print model, and I DIG it! Nylon is of course, a fashion based magazine so that makes sense. She’s covered up and still sexy to me! Anyways, check out her photos and get some ideas for Fall trends. She’s sporting a few pieces of flannels, which is very big for Fall, also, layers, blazers, prints, chunky layers of long necklaces, and winter hats.

P.S. People need to stop hating on her. I admire the fact that she’s got attitude and she’s real. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and put it out there, which reminds me of myself.

Highlights of Fashion Week Spring 2010

This year’s Fashion Week was full of colors, prints, and influences. Philip Lim, the man behind 3.1, and Georgina Chapman said that their collections were inspired by the arts. Philip’s line was titled “Collage” because he says that fashion is art. Here are two of my faves from his collection.

Betsey Johnson, infamous for her out-there colors, designs, and wacky, fun behavior had her collection on display with a rock concert vibe/party instead of a traditional walk down the runway, entitled, “One Night Stand.” Check out the video here.

The models wore her colorful party dresses and danced and sang to Blondie cover songs sang by the live band, Ida Marie.

Here are some of my favorite picks from the classic Tommy Hilfiger collection for Spring 2010. Do I see laced, open-toed ankle boots in the first picture? I’m liking them! What a beautiful look with the open, white trench coat, and two toned strapless dress. So classy and fresh, and well put together.

I love love love Carlos Miele’s collection! It’s so young and fresh with beautiful spring colors! It’s trendy but still classy. I love the pastels and also vibrant shades and cool prints. Here’s some of my fave mini dresses:

BCBG Max Azria also had some hot cropped dresses is awesome prints and colors. Can you tell I’m a huge fan of mini dresses? Love them! I also love how he mixed different fabrics with the printed dresses. Check it out:

Check out the sheer mixed in with the blue print, and the geometric cuts and angles of the dress. Hot & unique!

Arise: African Promise Collective had some amazing bold colors & prints.

There’s my baby Tyson Beckford in a sexy sheen of grey and green..not sure about that scarf around his neck though.

Megan Fox & Amanda Seyfried in Bad Plaid Dresses

Megan Fox and Mammia Mia! star Amanda Seyfried pose together at a Press Conference for Jennifer’s Body in Toronto last week.

Both of them look dressed for the fall season, sporting plaid dresses and dark colors. I’m not a fan of either look. Megan’s is too school girlish with white fishnet tights. And those shoulders! They look like wings. Yuck. And Amanda’s makes her look frumpy. I love her caged black shoes though.

Shortly after Amber Rose signed to Ford Models, she appears in Elle Magazine; congrats to her. Her boyfriend, Kanye West, (who everyone loves to hate), was the stylist for her fall editorial shoot. Pick up a copy of Elle to read the full article/interivew. I know I’ll be getting my copy.

P.S. She looks fantastic, much better than she how she showed up to this year’s VMA’s. I LOVE those boots she’s wearing in the top photo.
