The Men on the Red Carpet at the 2009 BET Awards

Some of these men were lookin mighty fly at the awards on the red carpet! Let’s start with Day 26..who I was very lucky to run into in Miami at Club Mansion back in March..and yes they are very sweet and fun to party with! And obviously, they know how to dress in uniform..white is so classic and sexy on men, you just can’t go wrong with this look. They all look fantastic! I love how they all put their own personal touches to each of their looks to make them consistent with one another but still individuals. For example, Que with his hat and tie show that hes the preppy, gentleman-like one of the group, Will stays G with his shades and hooded jacket, and Rob shows his rocker side with his little mohawk, vest, and chain.

Look at Mario with no hair! His look is completely different than how we usually see him, which is more of a Ne-Yo look, but here, he looks so badass! I like it! The top is hot and unique with a slash of pink and purple across it, and it’s very pulled together with black slacks and kicks. He’s got kind of a latin feel going on don’t ya think? Sexy!

There’s our gentleman, Ne Yo. He looks fly as always; this time he opted for yellow pants, very summery and golf-like. But he paired the preppy slacks with a deep purple sports jacket so as to break up the look. Sporty/preppy overall. Nice.

Well look at Ray J! All kinds of gentleman. He looks very classy and put together with the grown man look he chose to go for. It works!

Soulja Boy looking young and cute in his Mike Jackson tribute get up. He’s got the Michael tee on, and a red, leather motorcycle jacket like Mike would wear and he paired it with a striped belt and dark denim. Cool combination of MJ and Soulja.

The boys on the Red Carpet did a good job of looking different. Don’t get me wrong, suits always work but I like to see uniqueness and these fellas pulled it off. I like how they mixed it up and threw in pieces from different styles of fashion like Ne-Yo did with the sporty and preppy looks.

I barely watch tv anymore because I’m so glued to my little black laptop here, but I was just itching to see what they came up with for the BET Awards, as a tribute to Michael Jackson. I think it turned out pretty well overall but would have liked to see some one such as Chris Brown do an MJ song, complete with his stellar dance moves. Oh well. On to the fashion:

Beyonce is one of my all-time fave artists. She’s just so multi-talented and she has not stopped since she started. Hit after hit after hit, and the same goes for her fashion sense.

I would love to rock this 3/4 sleeved, floral multi-colored print dress. She looks so vibrant and young here. The purple shoes and big green earrings are a nice touch. Very pretty and fun!

This dynamic duo of model Amber Rose and rapper Kanye West look so fresh and so clean in their crisp, classy ensemble. Ye’s neutral sweater displays the gentleman in him and the timbs show off his G side, nice combo. Amber’s white, long-sleeved dress is classy but still sexy and the hot pink shoes and clutch are a very trendy addition. By the way, I must say she’s the only chick I know that can pull off a shaved head. She is GORGEOUS.

Amerie reminds me so much of Aaliyah here, don’t you think? That long, flowy dark hair, thin figure, and stylish yet edgy look..not to mention her beautiful face. I love how she made this dress edgy with those hot ankle boots and accessories. Wait…..do her and Amber have the same dress on?!? That’s what it looks like! Oh well, they both made different looks out of it. So, whose do you like better?

Alicia Keys has always been another favorite of mine. Her hair looks fabulous and sexy! Her dress is very unique; love the sheer puffy sleeves and beaded/sequined pattern. Her shoes are very egyptian and barely there, a neutral shade, so not as to steal the attention of her dress.

It looks like long sleeved, super short dresses were the hit at the awards this year! To pull off the same look, get a mini dress with sleeves, short or long, and rock it with some hot heels. Very classy/sexy! You always want to look sexy but keep it classy like these ladies did!

Megan’s Not So Foxy Hair

Here’s Megan Fox at last night’s Mtv Movie Awards. She’s such a beautiful girl, she really is, but I HATE her hair like this. The slicked back look is hot but not SO slicked back it looks like she’s almost bald. Her hair is so wet and flat looking, it doesn’t flatter. Good thing she has a beautiful face to pull it off but still. I think it’s too flat, especially when the rest of her hair is wavy and fuller at the bottom..it almost looks like a long mullet. It just looks sloppy. What do you guys think?

New Obsession: Sneaker Heels

I remember seeing these on the runway last year and I even posted a blog about them but couldn’t find them anywhere.. well now they’re back! I saw a pair in the June issue of Cosmopolitan and DKNY makes them. Of course they are expensive so I tried looking for cheaper versions, which are still hard to find.. it seems they didn’t fully come out yet, either that or people are afraid to try this new trend, but let me be the first! I think they are so unique and funky.. and I’d sport ‘em with a hot dress. I bet they’re way more comfortable after a night of dancing than in regular pumps, and they’re a stylish approach to comfort. Hey they have heels so you can still rock em with a dress outfit. The Beckhams for Armani Underwear

Victoria Beckham was chosen by Giorgio Armani to pose for Armani womens’ underwear line for the Spring/Summer 2009 campaign.

Giorgio Armani said, ”I chose Victoria Beckham to launch our new global Emporio Armani Women’s Underwear campaign because she is a stylish and intriguing woman. Great underwear is alluring and provocative, and so I wanted to work with someone who would make a real impression. Cassie Rocks Out With a New Haircut

Soooo, what do you all think? 

I always thought Cassie was one of the most beautiful r&b artists out there, but I just think she has such beautiful hair, and this was pointless. What’s the point of shaving half your head? I don’t know. I would never do it. She’s still a hottie but I don’t think it does anything for her, I would have left it the way it was, feminine and long and flowy.
